Biography of Bishop Ed Rockett
Bishop Ed Rockett is a visionary pastor and businessman who is committed to building leaders for holistic success. He is a second-generation preacher and pastor, who brings to bear a fresh word that is relevant for listeners across multiple generations. He currently serves as the Senior Pastor of the historic Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Michigan’s capital city of Lansing.

As one who is committed to lifelong learning, Bishop Rockett followed his formal education by matriculating at Florida A & M University (FAMU) where he received a BS degree in Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration. He also holds a Master of Divinity degree and a Master of Sacred Theology from Chicago Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry degree in Christian Community Development from Northern Seminary.

In addition to his clerical duties, Bishop Rockett is a twenty-one-year veteran of the insurance and financial services industry. Throughout his career as a financial advisor, he has worked for several Fortune 500 firms and has served in the roles of Sales Manager, District Sales Manager, Managing Director, Vice-President, and Managing Partner. He holds the Series 7, 66, & 26 investment licenses with the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD). He also is licensed in several states in Life, Accident & Health, and Property & Casualty insurance. Today, he is the President and CEO of his own boutique firm, Rockett Financial Group.

Bishop Rockett shares his life & ministry with Lady Machea Rockett and together they are the proud parents of two beautiful daughters, Aaliyah and Amanda.
